Richard McDowell
As a lifelong bibliophile, I began to specialize in numismatic books a dozen years ago when I began a career in dealing coins. Five years ago I joined the coin show circuit and this year Tryon Gold and Coin will set up at over forty shows this year ranging from Florida to Michigan, from St Louis to Myrtle Beach. Three years ago, I opened a coin store in Tryon, North Carolina located in the western part of the state. The more I have participated in the coin industry the more I have gotten involved. I am currently a member of the SCNA, NCNA, GNA, TSNS, VNA, FUN, MSNS, PAN, ANA, BCCS, and the EAC. I currently sit on the Board of the SCNA and am the Editor of the SCNA’s journal, the SCanner. I am also a founding member and current vice-president of the Spartanburg Coin Club.
